- Image processing: All processing, including temporary face detection for applying filters and alignment, is completed entirely within the device.
- Image Data Storage: Images are stored only on the device when saved by the user to the OS Photos app. They are not stored within the app or sent to any servers. Photos saved by the user to the OS Photos app are stored indefinitely until the user deletes them.
- External Transmission of Image Data: Image data and facial data will not be transmitted or shared externally, including with third parties.
- Related Logs and Analysis: Operation logs and crash logs sent to Google Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics do not contain any image data or facial data whatsoever.
2.6. Handling of Facial Data
- Regarding the storage of facial data: We do not store any facial data whatsoever. Therefore, there is no retention period for facial data.
- Reason for storage: Since no facial data is stored whatsoever, there is no reason for storage.
- Explicitly excluded uses: No facial data is stored whatsoever, and it is not used for identification, authentication, biometric authentication, user profiling, advertising, or training/fine-tuning machine learning models.
- Sharing with third parties: Facial data will not be sent or shared with third parties.
- Third-party storage and practices: No data is provided to third parties.
- Related Logs and Analysis: Operation logs and crash logs sent to Google Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics do not contain any image data or facial data whatsoever.
3. Data Retention
3.1. Image data and face data processed within "NostalCamera" are not stored; they are discarded immediately after the real-time filter processing described in Section 2.5.
3.2. Operational analytics data (for example, interaction timestamps, device information, and event counts) may be sent to Google Analytics to analyze app usage trends and may be retained indefinitely by that service. These analytics logs do not contain any image data or face data.
3.3. Crash diagnostics (including stack traces, device model, and OS version) may be sent to Firebase Crashlytics to investigate technical issues and may likewise be retained indefinitely by that service. Crash reports never include image data or face data.
4. International Data Transfer
4.1. Data collected through "NostalCamera" may be transferred internationally due to third-party services used by this service.
5. Data Sharing and Disclosure
5.1. Image data and face data are never shared with any third-party service providers.
5.2. Google Analytics may receive anonymized usage metrics (such as app interaction events, device type, and locale) solely to monitor and improve app performance. Data retention is determined by Google Analytics and may be indefinite; no image data or face data is included in these datasets.
5.3. Firebase Crashlytics may receive crash diagnostics (including stack traces and device context) exclusively for debugging purposes. Data retention is determined by Firebase Crashlytics and may be indefinite; no image data or face data is included.
6. Data Security Measures
6.1. Data collected will be processed to anonymize personal identification and stored with adequate security measures. Users acknowledge and agree that the developers shall not be liable for any disadvantages or damages arising from the use of the service.
7. Legal Requirements and User Rights
7.1. Personal information will be stored and used within the scope and duration necessary for compliance with legal obligations and service purposes. Users or their representatives can request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension, or erasure of their identifiable personal information, as well as notification of the purposes of use, following the specified procedures. Because image data and face data are not retained, they fall outside the scope of such requests.
7.2. The use of "NostalCamera" is subject to the laws of Japan. Any disputes related to these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
